Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 10 October 2026
Fluency has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming and sexualised contact with minors.
Adults only
Fluency is only for people aged 18 and over. Everyone gives their date of birth when signing up, and our servers refuse anyone under 18. Accounts we find belong to minors are deleted.
Prevention
- Learning only: no “nearby” search, no dating features and no public photo feed.
- Message requests need a real introduction, and everyone controls who can contact them.
- Requests and messages are automatically screened for sexual content and attempts to move chats to other apps.
- Optional selfie verification is reviewed by people.
Reporting
Anyone can report a profile or message in the app (Report → “May be under 18” or “Flirting or sexual content”). These reports are treated as high priority. You can also email our child safety contact at usamahaneef580@gmail.com.
What we do
- Remove the content and ban the accounts involved.
- Preserve evidence and report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant authorities, as the law requires.
- Cooperate with law enforcement requests.
